ISLAND ENCOUNTERS
RESEARCH
There is more to do to help the Caribbean! You're welcome to join the research and recording programmes that 'Encounter' undertakes as part of her travels throughout the region.
Island Encounters maintains two archive and data repositories, one in the United Kingdom and the other in the United States. The archived material stored in these repositories is not necessarily duplicated and is mostly hemisphere specific. The data banks are, for security reasons, almost 100% duplicates of each other.
Data collected and stored in these repositories is part of an ongoing environmental monitoring programme we call 'The Atlantic Islands Project'.
This is an open source project that wellcomes input and responses from visitors to the numerous islands scattered throughout the Atlantic Ocean. Data collected by the project, once collated and formatted, is published on our website www.islandencounters.org.
